We decided to sail the boat to Ft. Lauderdale since we have lots to do to prepare for our sail. Wow are boat works!!

We accomplished our first overnight sail to Ft. Lauderdale. We both took turns doing watch. Finally at around 2 am we decided to anchor. Our first attempt at anchoring our new boat went completely uneventful!! Good teamwork! We currently have our boat docked 2 minutes from my brother's house as luck would have it. So we are staying with them while we work on the boat to prepare for our journey. Our evenings are filled with yummy food (chef Natalia) and great company. Oh, and most important Little Ema is thrilled to have ti ti staying with her.

We are buisily working on the boat trying to get her ready to start our sail trip. We bought a new sail so we would have a back up. We are having work done on the electrical system. We still need to install the rest of our electronics, install the SSB and get sailmail up and running, install our new propane oven, and Repair the roller furling bearings. Just a few. We are hoping to leave by Mid to the end of September. We'll see how things go.
